01 / SET YOUR PREFERENCES

Start with your number.

A good plan fits real life. Set aside a grocery budget for your dinners and tell Plenty how many people you’re feeding. For example, start with $60 for two people and keep breakfast, lunch, and household essentials in a separate budget.

02 / FIND YOUR DINNERS

Pick a little delicious.

Choose meals you actually want to eat and see how each one affects your total. In this sample, a tomato pasta dinner comes to $14 for two servings. Remove a recipe to make space for a night out or something already in your freezer.

03 / SHOP WITH A PLAN

A list. A plan. A deep breath.

Your chosen dinners become one grocery list, with shared ingredients added together. Download the sample list to see exactly what to buy. The total is a planning estimate; check local prices and your pantry before heading to the store.

Illustrative US-dollar estimates for ingredients used. Store prices, package sizes, and pantry supplies can change your checkout total.

Small overlaps. Lovely little savings.

Give every ingredient
a second dinner.

That bunch of cilantro shouldn’t have a one-night appearance. Meals that share ingredients help you use what you buy, with fewer half-used bags at the end of the week.

In our sample plan, the bowls and tacos both use lime and cilantro. The grocery list combines them, so you can check what’s already in your kitchen before buying more.

A few things you might be wondering.

What does the grocery estimate include?

The demo adds the estimated ingredient cost of each selected recipe for your household size. It covers the dinners shown, rather than a full week of food. Actual checkout costs may be higher if you need to buy full packages of ingredients, oil, or spices.

What if my plan goes over budget?

Plenty shows the amount over your chosen budget immediately. Try removing a dinner or increasing the budget slider. For example, the three sample dinners cost an estimated $48 for two people; removing the tacos brings the plan to $30.

Can I try this without signing up?

Yes. This page is a working local demo: adjust your budget and household size, choose dinners, and download a grocery list. No account is created and your choices are not sent to a server. Refreshing the page resets the demo.
