Features

Everything your nan would do,
if your nan had an algorithm.

Built for tiny budgets, tiny kitchens and a total lack of time.

💷

Budget-first planning

Tell us what you've got to spend. We build a week of meals that fits, using live supermarket prices, and leave some change for a meal deal.

🔁

Cook once, eat thrice

Monday's chilli turns up again as Wednesday's burrito. Clever leftovers, not sad ones in a Tupperware.

🧺

Fridge-raid mode

Pop in the random stuff you already have (one egg, a lonely pepper) and get a dinner, not a lecture.

🛒

One-tap shopping list

Sorted by supermarket aisle, merged across recipes and scaled for exactly what you need. No more three jars of cumin.

🍳

Tiny-kitchen friendly

Filter by gear: one hob, a microwave, a kettle and a dream. Every recipe takes 30 minutes or less.

👯

Flatmate split

Plan meals together and split the bill automatically. No more passive-aggressive notes on the fridge.

How it works

Three steps. Zero meal-prep influencers.

Set your budget & vibe

Weekly spend, dietary stuff, how much you actually like cooking. Be honest, we won't judge your toastie habit.

Get your week, sorted

Pennypot builds a plan in about 4 seconds. Swap anything you don't fancy and the costs update as you go.

Shop, cook, smugly save

Follow the list, cook along with step-by-step mode, then watch your savings tracker go up. Very satisfying.

Reviews from people who
used to live on instant noodles

I used to spend £60 a week and still eat cereal for dinner. Now it's £27 and I made a curry my flatmates asked for twice.

The leftover thing is witchcraft. My fridge used to be a science experiment. Now it's just… a fridge. Kind of boring, honestly. Love it.

My mum asked who's been feeding me. I said an app. She was offended, but she also asked for the lentil bolognese recipe.

FAQ

Questions, answered (cheaply)

When does Pennypot launch?

We're aiming for January 2027, just in time for the post-Christmas money panic. Waitlisters get in up to two weeks early, in batches.

Is it really possible to eat well on £25 a week?

Yep. Our beta testers averaged £24.80 a week for 3 meals a day, all with actual vegetables. The trick is cooking smart, buying smart and making leftovers into new dishes.

I can barely boil an egg. Will this work for me?

Absolutely. Every recipe has a difficulty rating, step-by-step cooking mode and timers. Plenty of our recipes need nothing more than a microwave and some confidence.

Does it handle vegan, halal, gluten-free, or picky eating?

Yes to all of the above. You can also ban specific ingredients forever, so if mushrooms are your enemy, they'll never show up.

Which supermarkets do you support?

At launch: Tesco, Sainsbury's, Asda, Aldi, Lidl and Morrisons, with more on the way. Prices update daily so your budget stays honest.

What happens to my email?

We'll use it to tell you when you're in, plus the odd recipe. That's it. We never sell your data, and you can unsubscribe in one click.
